Description
My entry for the upcoming February 2008 SCBWI illustration contest, "Anti Valentine's Day." I tried to imagine why a child would hate Valentine's Day. I always like the day, because we would have a party in class, and I would get candy and notes from friends. So I imagined what it would be like to be "the new kid"...who only got a Valentine from the teacher, because he had not made friends yet.
