Well, I got the sad news today that the Pirate School series has come to an end. I just finished the 8th and last book in the series (books 7 and 8 will be released later this year). I have to say, I was pretty disappointed when I got the news. However, isn't there a song somewhere that says "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end?" I am trying to view this as a beginning waiting to begin. I have three possibilities in the works right now, and hopefully those will turn into contracted projects that I can enjoy just as much as Pirate School. In the meantime, I just finished a personal piece. Something just for me, to get out of my rut. It was very liberating just to paint for fun. I didn't even do a color rough draft. I just let the painting come together on its own. Overall, I am very pleased. I hope to have more time to experiment again, but not TOO much time....I do want those other projects to come in! Wish me luck!
