By far the most difficult piece I have done yet, mostly because of the lighting. I had to do lots and lots of layering of colors to get the deep dark, and bright highlights. More than once I almost lost control of the piece, and came close to loosing the subtle variations withing the lights and darks. Overall, I am pleased with the result, although I do feel I lost control a little in the background. I have been working on this piece since November, and am glad to finally have the finished product.

I think it's great, and nothing is wrong with the background, since that doesn't draw your eye at all! I love this!

It does look like a challenging piece...it came out very nicely, though! :) I'm sure with the experience you earned from this one you can approach your next one with more confidence :) It's a shame the shading of the monster against the wall of the room doesn't pop more, but that's just me nitpicking...it still has a nice feeling to it. The sheets are my favorite part, I think :)

(P.S.: that under the bed...is that the same monster's tail? If so, that's really cute :aww:)
